The main Bulgarian index SOFIX decreased this week by 0.32% to 890.27 points. The broad index BGBX40 decreased this week by 0.37% to 171.71 points. BGREIT decreased by 0.25% this trading week to 214.45 points.
Corporate News
Neochim (NEOH) announced one of its main shareholders Feboran EOOD, having 538,902 NEOH shares, representing 20.30% of NEOH capital, transferred its own capital to Reya Ventures EAD, which assumed the ownership of the said NEOH shares.
Sirma Group (SGH) announced acquisition of Duo Soft EOOD’s business with software development services pertaining to academic recognition for BGN 287 thousand. The acquisition will strengthen Sirma Group’s proposition to clients doing patent related activity.
BG Agro AD (BGAG) announced that its main shareholder Nenko Nenkov having 90% of the capital of the company has made an official proposal to the remaining shareholders to acquire their ownership.
Sopharma AD (SFA) announced the results from the capital raise through warrants. A total of 619,138 warrants were subscribed which will be converted into shares with a total emission value of BGN 2,557,039.94. A procedure for registering the capital increase in the Commercial Register, in the registers of the Central Depository AD, the Financial Supervision Commission, etc. will take place shortly.
Wiser Technology (Bianor) (BNR) announced they received an award by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange for an Issues that raised the largest capital on the main market on the BSE for 2024. The company attracted BGN 44.3mln in 2024 and became one of the most traded companies on the exchange.
Advance Terrafund (ATER) announced results for end of December 2024. As of that date, the company owns 181,938 daa agricultural land and 60.8 daa in urban territories. During the month they purchased 588 daa agricultural land at BGN 1,900 per daa, but also sold 618 daa per BGN 2,735 per daa. The rent for the 2023-2024 season is 85.6% collected and for 2024-2025 it stands at 18.4%.
MFG Invest (MFG) announced that their investment Tapline GmbH, a digital financial platform, which gives access to SaaS companies (B2B and B2C) to get funding without giving away ownership, currently operational in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Estonia, has signed an agreement for a financing round with max value of EUR 1.2mln corresponding to pre-money valuation of the company of EUR 5mln. The deadline is 31.01.2025.
Economic News
Bulgaria’s annual inflation rate edged up to 2.2% in December 2024 from 2.1% in the previous month. This marked the highest reading since July, as prices increased for housing & utilities (2.8% vs 2.5% in November), health (1.8% vs 1.5%), and recreation & culture (3.7% vs 0.3%). Meanwhile, costs continued to decline for clothing & footwear (-1.2% vs -0.5%), transport (-0.6% vs -3.4%), and communications (-3.2% vs -3.9%). Additionally, inflation slowed for food & non-alcoholic beverages (2.8% vs 4.1%) and alcoholic beverages & tobacco (6.0% vs 6.4%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.4%, easing from a 0.6% gain in the preceding period.
